Our Aims
  • Promote agriculture and agricultural activities as an alternative sources of livelihood ensuring food and income security
  • Promote empowerment of women and youth with their active participation and involvement into community based organizations
  • Promote and partake in various networks, federations and alliances initiated by like-minded NGOs, CBOs and Civil society organizations for addressing the core issues
  • Promote and develop linkages with Government institutions for getting necessary assistance related to development schemes and projects
  • Mobilize necessary resources to support the ongoing development projects at local, regional, national and international levels
  • Promote integrated education for empowering the CBOs and Federations
  • Strengthen local self-governance and enhance the participation of the poor in all the political processes

Thrust Areas
  • Make people aware of their right to education, education to rights, value education, health and environmental education and education to livelihood in all the operational villages of SDDS and its partner organizations. 
  • Network with like-minded NGOs on health issues.
  • Linkages with Government at all levels for health related issues.
  • Conduct various programmes on education for farmers, landless farmers, fisherman, etc.
  • Organize workshops and seminar on environmental issues
  • Awareness campaigns on environmental issues
  • Promote livelihood interventions which will ensure food & income security for women and marginal farmers as well as landless farmers and fisherman in all the operational villages of the diocese. 

  • Provide assistance to families through CBOs to promote livelihood activities in their villages focusing agricultural allied businesses.

  • Support the process of Sustainable livelihood i.e. economical, technical management related to agriculture and agro-based enterprises.


  • Linkages with Government machinery through Panchayati Raj institutions by incorporating in the overall village development plans.
  • Mobilize at least various programmes and schemes through Democratic Governance for women and other target community.
